Dear young endocrinologists,

The initiative "Young Active Research" (YAR) was founded during the annual meeting of the German Endocrine Society (DGE) in 1999 and follows the aim to increase the mutual exchange between young scientists working in the field of endocrinology. We define young not strictly by age but as "fresh in the field", so every student (bachelor/master/MD-/PhD-student or post-doc) is encouraged to join our network. Currently we have more than 150 participants which reflects a high acceptance amongst young endocrine researchers. Join our network >

To facilitate the exchange between participants, we established this homepage including the newly implemented forum, which will replace the old mailing list (EndoNews). It can be used to advertise new job opportunities and offers the possibility to get answers to scientific and technical questions.
Furthermore, we organize an annual meeting to give young scientists the opportunity to present their work in progress, to improve their presentation skills and to establish a scientific network in the area of endocrinology. The Participation and accommodation are free of charge, only travel costs need to be covered by the participants. However, ten travel grants of 200€ sponsored by the European Society of Endocrinology each can be awarded for non-german participants.

It is the nature of science to break national borders as only international exchange opens up the avenues to successful future research. In an attempt to link young endocrinologists all over Europe, we would like to invite all interested young researchers to take part in this project.
